National Choirs Administrator
National Youth Choir of Scotland
Deadline: 09 June 2017 at 12:00
We are seeking a National Choirs Administrator to join our Head Office staff in Glasgow.
The National Choirs Administrator assists the Head of National Choirs with all aspects of organising and running the national choirs including attendance at auditions, courses and travelling in the UK and abroad as necessary. The post holder must also be able to be involved in week long residential courses with overnight stays three times per year. Preparation for courses and concerts inevitably involves a certain amount of manual handling.
NYCoS is dedicated to encouraging singing for young people aged 0-25. From tiny tots learning in our Mini Music Makers classes, through to young adults giving critically-acclaimed performances as part of the flagship National Choir, we help young singers reach their full potential. Since being founded in 1996, NYCoS has become a highly respected arts organisation both for its contribution to youth arts participation and for the quality of its work.
As much of the work involves young people, the successful applicant will need to be a member of PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme and undergo a successful Disclosure Scotland check. The cost of this is covered by NYCoS.
