Women Over 50 Film Festival celebrates older women in front and behind the camera.

To submit a short film to Women Over 50 Film Festival it has to have:
a woman over 50 as the central character
OR
a woman over 50 in the core creative team (writer, director, producer).

We're looking for drama, animation and experimental short films under 20 minutes, and documentaries under 30 minutes.

Films in Gaelic or languages other than English should have English subtitles.

Submissions are open 1 March – 31 July 2017.

Prizes will be awarded for best drama, best animation, best experimental and best documentary, as well as an audience choice award.

Last year's judges were:
Drama - Jemma Churchill and Kathryn Hunt
Documentary – Feleicity Beckett and Jill Nicholls
Animation - Claire Lamond and Sylvie Bringas
Experimental - Trisha MacRae and Catherine O'Sullivan.

Prizes for winning filmmakers included:
Complementary tickets for Picturehouse cinemas
A bottle of Mother's Ruin Gin
Film screened at Picturehouse Duke of York's, Brighton and Picturehouse Central, London at part of the Kicking Ass: Middle-Aged Women On Screen series.

WOFFF 2017 will be hosted in Picturehouse Duke of York's and Sallis Benney Theatre, University of Brighton, UK.
