The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is looking for a creative and motivated Communications and Outreach Officer to join SCO Connect, the Orchestra's creative learning team.

The successful candidate will be experienced in arts project management and external communications, with excellent administration skills. They will be highly organised, with a proven ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and to run several projects at once.

The SCO Connect Officer (Communications and Outreach) is a challenging position that carries a high level of responsibility. The Officer works on some of SCO Connect’s most high profile projects and is responsible for their day-to-day management. The role also involves working closely with the Director to develop SCO Connect’s communications and digital content, and to produce high quality marketing materials for the programme. This is an extremely rewarding position as it provides a real opportunity to enrich the lives of people from diverse communities through music, and to work with the Connect Director to help shape the SCO Connect programme and communications.

The successful candidate will work well with others, and will be an excellent written and oral communicator who is passionate and knowledgeable about music outreach.

The post holder will be based at the SCO offices in Edinburgh and will also be required to travel throughout Scotland. A full clean driving licence is essential.
