The overall objective to all our Public Speaking Course is to improve your confidence and public speaking ability.
Through various activities we aim to build your confidence in public speaking and improve your ability.
We cover useful training methods, general tips, advice and also explore relaxation and voice work to help with Public Speaking Delivery (as nerves and issues with voice are the most common problems).
Lessons are lead by Clare Cairns, the Director of Acting Out Drama School who delivers hundreds of workshops every year to a variety of individuals and companies including Edinburgh University and the City of Edinburgh Council. She has a wealth of experience coaching individuals from varying backgrounds from students at University to employees of Parliament, from Doctors to Financial Experts, everyone needs help with Public Speaking now and again!
By the end of the course, students should have:
1. Improved their confidence when speaking in public (the key to any successful speech)
2. Learned techniques in how to prepare their mind and body for public speaking.
3. Practiced and performed public speaking and received valuable feedback on their delivery.
Acting Out’s Public Speaking Courses are CPD certified (meaning you get a recognised certificate for your attendance through Education Scotland).
