SCREEN EDUCATION EDINBURGH COMPANY SECRETARY
A Company Secretary role has arisen to provide financial and administrative support to the organisation.

SEE is a youth focussed organisation providing filmmaking education, development and support for young people across South East Scotland, prioritising those living in areas of multiple deprivation, rural areas and those with protected characteristics. We run a range of programmes including Cashback for Creativity, 3 BFI Film Academies, Into Film See It Make It, Princes Trust Get Started and Moving Image Arts A Levels. We work closely with schools, youth and community organisations in the delivery of our projects.

JOB SPECIFICATION
The principal role of the position will be to provide financial and administrative support to the organisation.

The principal duties will be:
(i) Producing management accounts, budgets & ad hoc reports
(ii) Managing secretariat support for Board
(iv) Statutory Compliance - Contracts, HR and H&S.
(v) Maintaining and updating Financial Procedures manual
(vi) Preparation of VAT returns and overseeing payroll

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Educated to SHND level, or above, or studying towards professional accountancy qualifications
Highly organised with a commitment to effective planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects
Ability to effectively record and manage information
Ability to articulately and confidently communicate with staff on financial matters
Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a knowledge of MS Excel and Word applications

Desirable
Knowledge of charity finance
Knowledge of project, restricted and designated fund management
Knowledge and experience of Sage software

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Hours: 8 hours per week
Salary: £29,091 pro rata
Holiday: 6 working days
