Call for Creative Catalysts
National Galleries of Scotland
Deadline: 04 May 2017 at 17:00
The National Galleries of Scotland seek creative educators to co-deliver a 5-day summer school in Edinburgh 2017. Working with other creative thinkers, you will inspire, challenge and support teachers to take creative risks within the curriculum. You will lead and support a series of creative provocations to facilitate primary and secondary teachers of all subject areas in planning inspiring classroom activity; to allow children and young people to take ownership of their own learning and thinking; to nurture their innate creativity and harness Scottish art for learning across the curriculum.
you must be available to attend 3 out of 5 days of the summer school, either 24-28 July 2017 OR 31 July – 4 August 2017, 10am-3pm, during which you will: lead 1 day of creative provocation for teachers; support 2 days of activity which will be led by other creative catalysts, resulting (by the end of the week) in the creation of activity plans to be implemented by the teachers in class.
Following the summer school, you will: mentor teachers as they deliver their activity plans; participate in a review meeting in October 2017.
you should be highly respected in the field of creativity; with a proven track record of delivering inspiring professional learning for teachers; confident in leading and challenging other educators to progress their creative pedagogy; an excellent communicator, collaborator and mentor.
£1050 for delivery of 3 days during the summer school. A separate fee is available for the follow-on mentoring and attendance at the review meeting.

Please also send details of relevant experience and a note of your availability 24-28 July 2017 OR 31 July – 4 August 2017.
