Key points of discussion;

Creating the Right Policy Framework for Scotland’s Needs
The session will assess the impact of a ‘British’, one size fits all policy or individualised national approach on growth in the creative industries in Scotland. Attendees will consider the progress made against the recommendations made in the Scottish Affairs Committee report with particular emphasis on the improving of collaboration between Westminster and Holyrood as well as between cultural organisations.

Attracting Commissioners, Business and Skills into Scotland
This event will offer a timely opportunity for attendees to convene and discuss the potential implications of immigration and broadcasting policy being retained by Westminster and the impact this has on development of Scottish Creative Industries. In the context of the providing growth, the event will consider on latest thinking on options to ensure the Scottish creative sector has the skills it needs to grow and the commissioning opportunities from public service broadcasters such as the BBC and Channel 4 (as well as the independent, commercial production sector).

Intellectual Property, European Markets and Creative Industry Exports
The session will consider the upcoming opportunities for Scotland and its creative exports to the rest of the world, how this fits in with its industrial strategy and how exports can be encouraged by the government to boost the industry.
