Wasps Studios is Recruiting

Wasps Studios

Deadline: 19 May 2017 at 17:00

Wasps Studios seeks talented people to join our team. Due to organisational restructuring in our 40th anniversary year we now wish to recruit for a series of new positions to move the organisation forward :

• Head of Projects
• Project Development Manager
• Arts Enterprise Officer

These posts will be focussed on better supporting our tenant network, our existing estate and progress new development projects, initially in Inverness, Perth and Glasgow.

Wasps has a 40 year track record of supporting the arts community in Scotland and we have grown to become one of the UK’s largest studio providers. As an established social enterprise, we currently house 800 visual artists, 25 arts charities and 30 creative industries at 19 sites from the Scottish Borders to the Shetland Islands. Their work in turn touches the lives of thousands of people across Scotland and beyond and contributes significantly to Scotland’s cultural economy.

Wasps is now working to deliver creative hubs in Scotland’s smaller cities – Inverness and Perth - and to complete the redevelopment of the Briggait in Glasgow as the Briggait Creation Centre, Scotland’s first creation centre and the UK’s largest.

We also now seek to deliver a programme of arts enterprise initiatives which will support our artist tenants and develop the arts economy by providing access to learning and development, increasing exposure to income generation activity and understanding the changing needs of artists for studio space. Demand for this support activity has been informed by a recent survey of our tenants.

The newly created Head of Projects position will lead on the capital development and tenant support programmes assisted by a team of two new posts - a Project Development Manager and an Arts Enterprise Officer.
