Claytime! Coiled Bowls and Dishes

Dundee Ceramics Workshop (Tin Roof Dundee)

Deadline: 22 June 2017 at 17:00

Claytime! - Coiled Bowls
Thursday 22nd June, 6pm – 8pm

Come join us for Claytime! - our new regular Thursday night 'after-work club' sessions which let you play and experiment with clay, learn a new skill, and socialise.

This Claytime! session will explore coiling techniques to create bowls. Lead by artist Rosemary Head, this versatile hand-building technique is a great skill for any clay lover to learn. Over the course of the evening Rosemary will show you how to prepare your coils and build your bowl, ready to be fired and glazed ready for collection in a few weeks time.

Rosemary is a Dundee-based artist who works in ceramics, textiles, and print. A graduate of DJCAD, Rose draws inspiration from myriad modes of artistic practise, often working on multiple projects at once, and collects crafts and techniques like a magpie would shiny things.

This workshop is £25.00 (£22.40 DCW Members) which includes all tuition time, materials and firing costs. Plus you get to keep what you make! Booking is essential for both members and non-members, please book via Eventbright or email, or by popping into the workshop.
