Work Local, Think Global-The Creative Hubs Network
Deadline: 08 June 2017 at 10:00
XpoNorth (7-8 June) is Scotland's leading creative industries festival. A hot-bed of creative activity, XpoNorth takes place over two exciting days and nights in the Highland capital of Inverness. The only festival of its kind in Scotland covering crafts, fashion and textiles; writing and publishing; screen and broadcast; and music. XpoNorth is a unique event in the UK's cultural calendar.
This year Creative Europe is hosting a panel discussing the European Hubs Network. Creative hubs are platforms or workplaces for artists, filmmakers, app developers and entrepreneurs from all crafts that are designed to foster community, promote collaboration and help creators create.
The European Creative Hubs Network supported by Creative Europe unites the hubs under one international banner to facilitate connections and collaborations across Europe offering fresh perspectives, training opportunities and to champion the creative sector across Europe. In this panel we’ll discuss the role of the hubs locally and internationally, how they can benefit creators, the impacts they’ve had and how you can get involved with a hub.
Speakers include Lynsey Smith Programme Manager of Creative Economy at British Council, Janine Matheson of Codebase and Natalia Palombo Managing Director at MANY Studios.
Creative Europe will also be in attendance throughout the festival to discuss funding opportunities across Media and Culture funds. Ben and Kate will be at the CE trade stand 10:00-16:00 on 7th June but if you'd like to arrange a meeting contact email@example.com to discuss support for Film, TV, animation and games though the Media subprogramme or firstname.lastname@example.org for collaborative projects and initiatives across all art forms through the Culture sub programme.
