LIGHT STILLNESS AND NATURE
1st - 26nd SEPTEMBER 2017

Join us on a practical arts retreat in September! (1st- 22nd)
You are welcome for a a week, two weeks, the full three weeks or simply come for a weekend! You will be spending time in the local landscape gaining inspiration from nature. We’ll use elements of nature to make our own pigments and find surfaces to paint on. You will learn about the ancient technique of egg tempera painting (egg mixed with natural pigments) and be guided through the ancient technique of icon painting. You can choose to paint an icon or something from nature. You will also be taught how to translate your designs and ideas into a beautiful stained glass.
Courses are suitable for complete beginners as well as practising artists. We will be honouring the traditional pilgrims “communitas” and sharing meals together. In the evenings, there will be optional group integrating activities.

All week courses include the weekend course. Accommodation ranges from 20-50 Eu per night please get in touch for more information and help with organising accommodation. It is either on site or in two hotels located just 200m away.
