ID Store - Pop-Up Design Department Store
Granny Would Be Proud
Deadline: 31 October 2017 at 23:55
We are happy to be involved with the creation of Glasgow's first Independent Pop-Up Department Store; The I.D Store. This is a weekend take over of the six floors of The Lighthouse.
Our first event is the 15th and 16th July!
We see this as an opportunity to up the ante as far as the shopping experience of Buchanan Street goes. A place to give designers and makers to come and display as well as trade their products next to people who are working in the same field as themselves. Being able to offer customers of regular high street shops an opportunity to experience the wealth of talent and quality independent traders have to offer.
Taking over the six floors in this pop-up extravaganza the floors will be set out as follows.
The ground floor will be for jewelers offering new designs and methods of making, a huge choice of designs are available through products that provide joy for the lifestyle and the soul.
The first floor, home interior designers will have the space to recreate their ideal home. In the last five years the number of trade people in Scotland producing furniture and home-wares has risen dramatically. This space has been planned to create a homely environment for customers to get an idea of how these products will work in their personal spaces.
The second floor will be a boutique for fashion designers. Here customers will be able to meet the designers and be inspired , seeing the pieces on offer either displayed on mannequins or rails, and try on pieces in the prepared changing room.
The third floor is the all important department for children. Here there will be room for products that engage and delight our younger customers. This can be anything from toys and colouring books to clothes and wearable items for the pre-adolescent audience.
The fourth floor corridor - We are looking to make this area a space where customers can expect to see men particularly styled clothes, accessories, beard oils and distractions for the man kind.
On this floor we will also have our Design, Vintage and Craft Market Place. From fashion products to beauty, all traders are encouraged to get involved.
The fifth floor is reserved for the cafe, we would like to include for sale pre-wrapped food items here. Chocolates, pastries and producers of savoury goods are encouraged to bring tasters and sell their food to be taken away.
